This Privacy Policy explains how Flatground and its affiliates (further referred to as “Flatground”, “Forward Loop Games”, “we”, “us”) collect, use, and share information when you using Flatground (referred to as “the game”).

  • Device Information —Information such as device screen size, device graphics capabilities.
  • Location Information — Generic location (such as city or neighbourhood) for the purposes of analytics.
  • Usage Information — Anonymous analytical information including information about your interaction with the game.

How we use your information

We use your information in the following ways:

  • to allow you running the game as intended (authentication);
  • to help improve the game (crash-reports, analytics); and
  • to ensure the game’s content is presented in the intended manner.

How we share your information

We may share information with Third Parties.

What information we share, who we share it with and why

  • Personal Information — Email address is used in Firebase Authentication (Google) for user authentication. In-game name (nickname) and email address are used in Cloud Firestore (Google) for user identification for online matchmaking.
  • Location Information — Location (on a city or neighbourhood level) is collected and shared with Firebase Analytics (Google) to provide us with anonymous analytical information about our users.
  • Device and Usage information — Device and usage information will be shared with Firebase Analytics (Google) and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) for analytics and crash reporting.

Data Storage

Application Data

All application data (that is the data you create and save in the game) is only stored locally on your device. We have no way to access application data and therefore cannot read, recover or share data for or on behalf of any person or organisation.

Information about you may be transferred to, or accessed by, entities located around the world as described in this Policy. By using the game, you consent to the international transfer of information about you to the above parties.

Data Protection

Information sent between your device and Third Party Services, is transferred in encrypted form. For more information, see Firebase encryption.

  • Email — The user can choose to not log in via email address and password. Note that in this case the game is limited to offline usage only.

From time to time we may change our privacy policy and although these changes might be minor we encourage our users to check this page regularly.
